Throwback of the Week: Intro: 'Love Thang'

The trio INTRO (short for Innovative New Talent Reaching Out) sprang into prominence back in 1993. Their self-titled debut album spawned the hits 'Love Thang','Let Me Be The One','Why Don't You Love Me' and the daring 'Come Inside' Their rendition of Stevie Wonder's 'Ribbon in the Sky' is still memorable to many.

Intro's debut album was by far more accomplished and stood far ahead of many of the other R&B groups, like H-Town, Shai, Portrait and Silk which debuted at around the same time.

After dropping their second album 'New Life' the trio split however the group's lead Kenny Greene continued to enjoy success penning songs for artists like Mary J. Blige ('Reminisce' and 'Love No Limit'), Madonna(most of the Bedtime Stories album) and Soul for Real '(Thinking of You' and 'If Only You Knew'). Kenny later died in October 2001

Heres the video to 'Love Thang' for all the 90s cats.
