New Video: Ludacris feat. Mary J Blige 'Runaway Love'
This is something very different to what we're used to from Ludacris but brilliant nonetheless. The song has a message tackles the very topical issue of teenage runaways.
LL Cool J to join G-Unit?
A few days ago we reported about LL Cool J's beef with Def Jam and one Jay-Z.While LL has a beef with Jay-Z, he seems to be on the same page with 50 Cent, whom he's working with on his next album, his last with Def Jam. 50 is an executive producer on the album to be titled Todd Smith Pt. 2: Back To Cool. LL told MTV that he sees a lot of himself in 50.
"My man has great sensibility. He knows what I like. We're from Queens [New York City]. We're seven years apart in age. He knows what I'm into. We come from the same experience, so the music reflects that."
Yeah well I hope he keeps in mind what happened to Mase's project and how long it took for Mobb Deep's project to drop.
Meanwhile, 50 is working towards completing his next album, which is due out in the spring, next year.
"I want the music to sound like something I haven't done before, so I needed to change the guys I worked with on the last project," 50 told All Headline News. "I've been listening to a lot of Motown stuff — Smokey Robinson, a lot of older music — so I go a lot of soulful loops."

Snoop Arrested....again
Snoop Dogg has been arrested on weapons and drugs charges after a TV appearance in Los Angeles. Surprsise, surprise.
Snoop was stopped by police as he left the NBC studio in Burbank after recording an edition of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Authorities allegedly found marijuana, cocaine and a firearm in his car.
This latest arrest marks Snoop's third in three months following earlier incidents at two California airports.
In October police found a gun and a quantity of cannabis in the musician's car after they stopped him for parking in a loading area at Bob Hope Airport.
Earlier this month he was charged for attempting to carry a collapsible baton onto a plane at Orange County John Wayne Airport in September.
An earlier arrest at London's Heathrow Airport in April led to a police caution.
I mean what is this dude really on?

Usher Godson Of Soul?
Exciting but maybe untrue…Usher has apparently been pitched to play James Brown in a movie about the King of Soul according to his record label's website.
Although the film has not yet been commissioned the script is said to be complete. After Usher’s critically acclaimed Broadway debut in Chicago and with his natural ability to dance, this movie has the potential to be epic.
The whispers continue as Black Eyed Pea’s Fergie is said to want a piece of the action and has been put forward for the role of one of Brown's wives.
Sony Dumps Urban Divsion
Sony BMG is reportedly terminating their urban music division and a large number of the unit's current employees are expected to be laid off.
According to label insiders and industry experts who spoke to the New York Post, the announcement of Sony Urban's dissolution will be made on December 1 or even much earlier.
The Post's sources also revealed that not all of Sony Urban's employees will be laid off; some are slated to be reassigned to other units within the label. Office departments dealing with business and legal affairs are expected to be affected the most by the label's dismantling.
Sony Urban's current artists, which include John Legend, ,DMX, Beyoncé, Three 6 Mafia and Lemar will be reassigned to Epic and Columbia, Sony BMG's two main labels.
No comment could be obtained from Sony.
Jay-Z beats Snoop
With first week sales in excess of 850 000 units Jay-Z's 'Kingdom Come'CD has virtually eclipsed Snoop Doggs album 'The Blue Carpet Treatment'released on the same day last week. This not only makes it a dead cert for the #1 spot next week but also shatters this year's best debut sales record.
Not bad given the tidal wave of publicity Jay's been on prior to its release. This included a very strong and well-recieved performance at this years American Music Awards and the unprecedented "Hangar Tour," which included seven shows in less than 24 hours in Atlanta, Philadelphia, DC, New Jersey, Chicago, L.A. and Las Vegas.
Snoop's album sales are crawling in comparison with a first week sales total of around 270 000 units

New 50 Cent Movie
According to our sources 50 cent has been filming a movie called '' Home of the Brave'' to be released sometime in January 2007.The movie is about soldiers struggling to adjust back to normal life and to reality after a lengthy tour of duty in Iraq.
I guess this will mean another soundtrack album, more premiers, more promo and more exposure for 50.

Def Jam News: LL Quits, Foxy Walks
After more than twenty years at Def Jam, lip-licking rap legend LL Cool J will not be renewing his contract citing the record label's President, Jay-Z as the reason. LL claims that Jay-Z has put his artists' careers at risk by coming out of retirement. LL also claims he wont re-sign with Def Jam when his contract expires after one more album because it will mean he will be competing directly with the label's boss.
He told MTV, ''How am I gonna re-sign with competition? I'm not a idiot. "I can't depend on that man to promote my record while he's somewhere writing rhymes. I'm LL Cool J. I ain't doing that, B.''
It has to be noted that in October, LL again blamed Jay-Z for failing to market his album ''Todd Smith'' properly. Guess all is not well in that camp.
In other Def Jam news,Foxy Brown's woes continue as this time she is dismissed on a recent interview with Power 105 in the States.
Rapper Foxy Brown tried to direct the flow of questioning during her interview at the radio station and was given the boot for her efforts.
According to the New York Post, the Brooklyn artist refused to answer questions surrounding her rumored dismissal from Def Jam, or that label president Jay-Z had been frustrated over her lack of productivity.
"What people don't know is that I initiated Def Jam ... they could never drop me. I am a multi-platinum artist," she reportedly snapped.
We believe you, Foxy.
Fashion: What Were They Wearing?

Who Gave Him a Record Deal?
Flavor Flav - Hollywood
I am a big fan of old school hip hop and a very big fan of Public Enemy, their whole movement and everything they stood for. Now, given his recent foray into the whole sad world of reality televison, can anyone honestly ever really take Flavor Flav seriously? Can anyone ever seriously walk into a record shop ignore all the good music out there and head straight for his album, let alone listen to it? Hey, I could be very wrong, for his sake i sincerely hope I am, but for me...this is one to avoid. Leave your comments let me know what ya'll think.
2pac New Video: Pac's Life

Throwback of the Week: Intro: 'Love Thang'
The trio INTRO (short for Innovative New Talent Reaching Out) sprang into prominence back in 1993. Their self-titled debut album spawned the hits 'Love Thang','Let Me Be The One','Why Don't You Love Me' and the daring 'Come Inside' Their rendition of Stevie Wonder's 'Ribbon in the Sky' is still memorable to many.
Intro's debut album was by far more accomplished and stood far ahead of many of the other R&B groups, like H-Town, Shai, Portrait and Silk which debuted at around the same time.
After dropping their second album 'New Life' the trio split however the group's lead Kenny Greene continued to enjoy success penning songs for artists like Mary J. Blige ('Reminisce' and 'Love No Limit'), Madonna(most of the Bedtime Stories album) and Soul for Real '(Thinking of You' and 'If Only You Knew'). Kenny later died in October 2001
Heres the video to 'Love Thang' for all the 90s cats.

Hot New Movie Trailers:'De Ja Vu' & 'Daddy's Little Girls'
The drama stars Denzel Washington as an FBI agent who, upon discovering that a woman he loves (Paula Patton)was among the victims of a ferry terrorist attack, travels back in time. A brilliant action packed thriller, but what else do you expect from a Denzel Washington movie. In theatres in the States tomorrow Nov 22 and in the UK Dec 15. Check it out.
In theatres on Valentines Day next year but well worth the wait. Gabrielle Union plays a very successful lawyer who falls in love with a financially challenged (ie broke) mechanic and father of three (Idris Elba) that she is representing. Also starring Malinda Williams (Soul Food), Tracee Ellis Ross (Girlfriends)and Terri J Vaughn (who played Lovita in the Steve Harvey Show).

Nathan- Masterpiece
I have no idea why this album took so long to drop. I mean the two singles 'Come Into My Room' and 'Round and Round' did the rounds and generated heat from as early as last year. A fantastic album from this young UK artiste and very well worth the wait. A definite must have for your record collection.
Akon- Konvicted
The eagerly anticipated sophomore album from Akon. Contains the hit single 'Smack That' featuring Eminem, the follow up 'I Wanna Love You' featuring Snoop Dogg and the very powerful 'Africa'. A very strong follow up to his 2003 multi-platnum debut 'Trouble'
