2006 Annual Billboard Awards: Mary Wins Big, Janet Rocks the Show!

The 2006 Annual Billboard Awards were held last night and the night belonged to Mary J Blige and performance-wise to Janet Jackson.What a big night it was for Mary J. Blige who won an astounding 9 Billborad Awards for her Breakthrough album. Awards included:R&B/Hip-Hop Artist Of The Year, Female R&B Artist Of The Year, R&B/Hip-Hop album Of The Year, R&B Song Of The Year, as well as Hot 100 Airplay Song Of The Year for the single Be Without You Very deserving really for singer whose album sold over 750 000 units in its first week of release.

Janet Jackson,as we previously reported, opened the evening with a very strong performanace a medley of her old hits Control ,Pleasure Principle as well her new single So Excited.
